PRETREATMENT
At this process, a metal blank is heated to reduce its hardness generated at the previous process (Former) and increase its ductility for following process (Press).

It is a one of surface treatment methods. An oxide film called a scale generated on surface of blank at annealing process is removed by projecting small steel grains to the surface.

Bonderizing(phosphating) is a treatment to coat with lubricant film on blank surface before Press process.
The lubricant film works for reducing a friction between a blank and dies at pressing and preventing them from burning, which facilitates press forming and makes dies life longer.
Also, it is effective in preventing rust of blank.
